The context

Sydney Sotheby's International Realty didn't need another agency to tell it that it had a powerful brand. The business already had extraordinary properties, experienced agents, global recognition, established trust and deep local market knowledge. Engrow first engaged in discussions around April 2026; May and June were spent understanding the business, its different growth objectives, and the complexity of the Sydney luxury property market. The more important question wasn't whether the brand was strong. It was: what should we communicate now?

The strategic decision

We decided not to solve everything at once. Luxury real estate has multiple audiences and multiple growth goals at the same time — vendors, buyers, agents, potential recruits, international clients, Chinese-speaking audiences, existing networks. Trying to speak to all of them immediately would have diluted the message. Engrow chose to begin with one of the company's strongest assets: its people and their expertise.

From property advertising to perspective

Traditional property marketing focuses on listings, transactions, auctions, features and price. Engrow wanted to surface something deeper — what the principals believe, what decades of experience have taught them, how they think about trust, how they understand luxury, how they see the Sydney market, what makes a great agent, what service actually means, and how buyer expectations differ across cultures.

From property advertising to perspective.

Michael's Journal

Almost three decades in Sydney luxury real estate creates something marketing cannot manufacture: perspective. Michael's Journal turns Michael Pallier's experience into a body of intellectual property — trust, luxury, client relationships, his career journey from luxury automotive into property, building a real estate career, AI and the future of real estate, the Sydney luxury market, leadership, and what makes a strong agent.

The people behind the brand

Michael is one entry point; the broader opportunity is making more of the expertise behind Sydney Sotheby's visible — Michael Pallier, Lulu Sun, team interviews, agent stories, career journeys, values, aesthetics, East/West perspectives, client service and luxury expertise. Make the people behind the brand visible.

Chinese content

Translating the brand, not simply the language. The objective was never to reproduce English property content word-for-word — content is adapted to the behaviours, expectations and cultural context of Chinese-speaking audiences, across WeChat, WeChat Channels and RedNote / Xiaohongshu.

The next stage

Content was the beginning. The first phase focused on building the voice. The next phase is about connecting that voice more directly to business growth — supporting agent recruitment, vendor acquisition, buyer engagement and broader brand development.

Start with the right problem. Then grow from there.
